There are many rivers in the United States of America which are very popular. The rivers in US count about to 250,000 which are 3,500,000 miles long in total. If the water volume is measured, Mississippi is the biggest river. If the length is considered, the credit goes to the Missouri River which is a branch of the Mississippi River. The Missouri River is nearly 2,540 miles long. The Yellowstone River has the credit of the longest river in US in the undammed section. Rivers are of good use in many ways. They are helpful in irrigational purposes, drinking purposes, drainage, food, transportation, and the like.
